Which are the standard CO2 thresholds of Cala KNX IL CO2?
The carbon dioxide content in the air influences health and general well-being. You can find a detailed report on the measurement and control of indoor air quality and an article on the topic "Why you need a KNX CO2 sensor in your Smart Building" in the "Inspiration" section.
The following CO2 threshold values are standard for Cala KNX IL CO2:
- red = 2.000 ppm
- yellow = 1.200 ppm
- green <1.200 ppm
This overview shows you what consequences too high CO2 concentrations can have:
CO2 concentration in ppm | What happens? |
200.000 | Rapid onset of unconsciousness, death |
100.000 | Nausea, unconsciousness, vomiting; extinguishing a candle |
30.000 | Breathing rate and volume increase |
6.000 | Harmful to health; exposure should only be for a short period of time; further disturbances of well-being occur. |
5.000 | Max. workplace concentration; limited stay of max. 8 hours daily |
2.000 | The risk of infection increases |
1.500 | Max. Indoor guideline; fatigue and drowsiness may set in |
1.000 | Comfort limit according to Pettenkofer; still acceptable in terms of air hygiene |
600-800 | High indoor air quality |
450 | Fresh, natural ambient air |
I don't need a CO2 sensor, can I use the product without one?
