KNX level sensors measure the distance to the surface by ultrasound. You can calculate a tank content if you specify the tank geometry. This means that the supply of heating oil or water in the KNX system is known. Messages can be issued or the filling/emptying can be automated. With the distance measurement, parking space monitoring is possible, for example (parking space free or occupied).
