Building automation does not have to stop at the exterior wall. A wide range of outdoor functions can also be integrated into the KNX system and controlled directly on site.
Fabro KNX touch panel and other Elsner devices show just how versatile this can be.
Fabro KNX can be used to visualise and control irrigation, lighting, shading and other KNX functions. The robust 7-inch touch panel with aluminium housing and IP67 protection is also suitable for areas exposed to dirt and moisture. Fabro KNX can therefore be used to display and control a networked garden irrigation system.
Jardana controls up to four irrigation zones independently. TMi soil moisture sensors measure the moisture level directly in the soil. When Jardana is integrated into the KNX system, existing weather data can also be taken into account, for example data from a KNX weather station.
The KNX SO250 basic tank sensor continuously monitors the fill level of the cistern. For example, the system can be configured to switch automatically to mains water when the fill level drops below 30%. When the fill level rises above 35% again, it switches back to cistern water. This ensures reliable irrigation while prioritising the use of rainwater.
