Can I use several Remo 8i devices in the same building at the same time without signals interfering with each other?
Yes. Each Remo 8i handheld transmitter can be configured individually. The channels are clearly addressed so that several remote controls can be operated in parallel in the same radio network without interference.
What is the range of the Remo 8i radio signal?
The range of the Elsner RF protocol is typically approx. 20 m indoors and up to 100 m in open space. Walls and interference from other radio sources can affect the range.
Is the Remo 8i protected against accidental control?
Yes. The combination of clearly assigned channels and unique coupling with receivers prevents incorrect switching. In addition, the device can be secured for specific projects through targeted channel assignments.
Can I integrate the Remo 8i into existing RF projects?
Yes, provided that the control system used utilises the Elsner RF protocol, the Remo 8i can be easily added, for example as an additional operating option in the event of subsequent changes in use or tenant changes.
What happens when a battery is empty? Are the settings retained?
Yes. The configuration (channel names, assignments, etc.) is retained even when the battery is empty. After replacing the battery, the Remo 8i is immediately ready for use again.
Are there any restrictions on the number of devices that can be duplicated?
No. A configured Remo 8i can be transferred to other remote controls as often as required, provided they are the same model. This saves a lot of time, especially in series installations.
Can I rename or reassign channels retrospectively?
Yes. The channel name and assignment can be changed at any time on the remote control without software, app or PC. This makes subsequent changes to the project easier.
