The Jardana irrigation control system guarantees healthy plants in the garden – regardless of whether you use KNX or not. In combination with the robust Fabro KNX touch panel, you get an effective solution for controlling and monitoring irrigation in the garden.

Garden irrigation redefined
Jardana KNX irrigation control and Fabro KNX touch panel ensure optimum conditions in the garden
Smart watering and conserving resources
Jardana is an innovative automatic irrigation controller that can be seamlessly integrated into the KNX building bus system. It combines hardware (valve unit, sensors) and a user-friendly app. Jardana is versatile: it can be used either as a stand-alone solution or as part of the KNX system.
Commissioning the irrigation system is extremely simple and works according to the "plug & play" principle. Simply connect the water and mains voltage and configure the settings using the accompanying app. If required, Jardana can even generate its own WLAN, which enables it to be used in allotment gardens and on extensive properties.
Suitable for all types of irrigation
Jardana is a versatile automatic irrigation controller that is suitable for different types of irrigation, from drip irrigation to lawn sprinklers. The system has four valves to control up to four different watering zones. Each zone can be programmed with up to four individual watering timers to set different watering durations.
Additional soil sensors allow the irrigation to be optimised to the soil conditions and the needs of the plants. These sensors ensure that watering only takes place when the soil is actually dry, in accordance with the set watering periods. It is advisable to install soil moisture sensors in the root area of the plants in each irrigation zone. This not only saves water, but also minimises the risk of overwatering, which in turn benefits the plants.

Garden and terrace conveniently in view
Irrigation with Jardana can be conveniently controlled via the app on your smartphone or tablet, whether you want to stop irrigation while the garden is in use or add an additional water supply. If Jardana is integrated into the KNX system of the house, further possibilities open up. Irrigation can then be monitored and controlled via a home control panel or a garden touch display.
The Fabro KNX touch panel is ideal for this, as it has been specially developed for outdoor use. The large display and control panels can be individually configured, for example to quickly start and stop irrigation or to monitor the active irrigation zone. Other functions such as lighting control, awning control or the display of weather data and cistern fill levels can also be integrated. The Fabro touch panel thus functions as a central control unit for the garden and patio. Thanks to its robust aluminium housing, it is particularly hard-wearing and is ideal for outdoor use, whether on the patio, in the outdoor kitchen or in the greenhouse as well as in workshops.
KNX connects house and garden
The KNX system provides additional data that is relevant for outdoor areas. In addition to the soil moisture readings, other sensor data can also be used to make gardening more resource-efficient.
For example, surface irrigation adapts to the outside temperature and is temporarily suspended on particularly hot days to avoid evaporation and save water. Irrigation is also interrupted by a weather station in the event of wind or natural rain. This sensor data is also important for controlling awnings on many patios in order to protect the sensitive fabric from localised weather events. The use of online weather data is not advisable due to its inaccuracy.
The user can immediately recognise on the Fabro KNX display when the awning has been retracted for protection, for example in the event of a rain or wind alarm.

Further KNX functionalities
Many garden lovers attach great importance to extending the summer evening with atmospheric lighting. The KNX system can be used to switch on the lamps as soon as it gets dark. The weather station provides the brightness value, while the time of day or the presence of people on the patio can represent additional conditions.
When using cistern water, a tank sensor can report the remaining content and the KNX system automatically switches between rainwater or fresh water. Relaxed garden use is also ensured: if a presence detector detects that the patio is being used for a longer period of time, the lawn sprinkler is automatically deactivated.
Seamless collaboration in the KNX system for smart living
All these functions can be set up automatically using logic in the KNX system and displayed on the Fabro KNX panel for information. By utilising existing sensors and equipment, the individual garden dream becomes a reality. Various devices such as the irrigation control system, weather station, level sensors and displays work seamlessly together in the KNX system to ensure resource-efficient irrigation, safe outdoor comfort and a constant overview.
The easy-to-install Jardana system makes it easy to get started with smart gardening and is integrated into a future-proof system via KNX. In this way, the irrigation control system contributes to successful and sustainable gardening for many years to come.
