Windancer GPS Modbus: weather data straight into your Modbus system

News of 05 November 2026

Weather data for your Modbus system

Whether you want to control external venetian blinds in storms, roof windows in rain or slats that follow the sun: weather-dependent building automation relies on accurate outdoor readings.

That is exactly what our new Windancer GPS Modbus weather station delivers, from brightness for the east, south and west façades to wind, precipitation and temperature. It also calculates the sun position and passes azimuth and elevation to the controller as ready-to-use values.

For your project, this means one compact device instead of several individual sensors, addressing and interface parameter settings via DIP switches, and a single query for all readings. Wiring and programming stay lean as a result, sun tracking included. The cup anemometer and heated precipitation sensor ensure that storm and rain protection are triggered reliably.

For projects that only need the weather data, Windancer Modbus is available as a basic version. Both versions are available now in the Elsner Online Shop.

  • la riparazione o sostituzione gratuita;
