KNX RF Radio

KNX RF radio is an extension for retrofitting or modernisation without additional cable laying. With radio you save effort and costs. The radio modules are integrated into the existing home control system via an interface. KNX RF devices are certified and thus a fully-fledged part of the KNX installation

What is the KNX bus system?

As international standard ISO/IEC 14543-3, KNX is the world's leading open standard for home and building system technology. Sun protection, heating, alarm systems, ventilation, lighting or consumer electronics devices are only examples of the many areas of the building and household that can be monitored and controlled with the help of KNX. Networking makes optimal energy management possible.

Interoperable

One KNX device can communicate with all others

Since all sensors (e.g. brightness sensor) and actuators (e.g. luminaire, awning) are networked via the data bus, the system is extremely versatile and expandable. How sensors and actuators react to each other (e.g. which interior temperature and which brightness value are relevant for an awning) is configured via software and can be adapted at any time. Extensions and additions are possible without any problems. Every KNX device must be certified by the KNX Association. This ensures compatibility. Elsner Elektronik is approved as a KNX test laboratory and thus successfully prepares the devices for KNX certification.

Scalable

KNX is just as suitable for residential buildings as for large projects

The enormous range of applications offers unique advantages, not only for the user and homeowner, but already during planning and installation. The common standard creates new networking possibilities, and all KNX-certified products are compatible with each other. Detailed information on KNX, both for building owners as well as for planners and architects is available, for example, on the homepage of KNX.
